BzzAgent and Dr Scholl's Inserts

So about a month ago I joined BzzAgent after reading about a friends experience with it. They send out products for free in order to generate consumer reviews. You fill out surveys and then they match you with a campaign that they are currently running. It took about three weeks before I got my first campaign offer.

The product that I received was Dr Scholl's Inserts. I've always wanted to try them but never wanted to pay the cost of them so this was a great way to try them. In the kit was a what you do with your kit paper, the pair of inserts, and a stack of coupons (got plenty if anybody is interested!!!).

To give them a fair chance I have worn them everyday this week and for me that means a lot of walking, uphill. I even wore them on a hike down to the river to go fishing. My tennis shoes were already pretty comfortable. I haven't really see a ton of difference with the inserts, but I'm definitely going to keep giving them a chance.

All opinions written in this post are mine and I haven't been bribed to give a positive or negative feedback.

The Scorpio Races By: Maggie Stiefvater

I liked the end of the book but the beginning dragged on. There are different things that I think should have been left out while other things should have been included, though this happens with every book. With this specific book there are different things that are described towards the end of the book that would have made so much more sense at the beginning of the book. I also enjoyed that Puck and Sean have a romance but it is very mild and is more of a mutual attraction instead of a mushy love. All in all the book wasn't bad.

The Scorpio Races

It happens at the start of every November: the Scorpio Races. Riders attempt to keep hold of their water horses long enough to make it to the finish line. Some riders live. Others die. At age nineteen, Sean Kendrick is the returning champion. He is a young man of few words, and if he has any fears, he keeps them buried deep, where no one else can see them. Puck Connolly is different. She never meant to ride in the Scorpio Races. But fate hasn't given her much of a chance. So she enters the competition — the first girl ever to do so. She is in no way prepared for what is going to happen.

Thirteen Reasons Why By: Jay Asher

Thirteen Reasons Why is told from both Hannah's and Clays point of view. Clay inserts his views as he listens to the tapes. I really like that the story is told primarily around Clays part in Hannah's life. The book wouldn't have had such an impact if it was told through one of the other peoples perspective. This book almost makes suicide okay if you can document what caused you to do it. I really like the end when Clay goes to talk to Skye, you can see that the tapes had a positive influence on his life.

Thirteen Reasons Why

Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a strange package with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers several cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker - his classmate and crush - who committed suicide two weeks earlier. Hannah's voice tells him that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out why. Clay spends the night crisscrossing his town with Hannah as his guide. He becomes a firsthand witness to Hannah's pain, and learns the truth about himself-a truth he never wanted to face.
"Thirteen Reasons Why" is the gripping, addictive international bestseller that has changed lives the world over. It's an unrelenting modern classic.

The Music of Dolphins By: Karen Hesse

This is a really good book and the different font sizes make it fun to read. When Mila is first learning the writing is pretty big, as soon as she begins to learn the human ways the writing decreases to a more normal size. The font changes throughout the book as Mila finds things that are harder to learn. Mila is a relatable character, especially if you have ever moved to a new location and had to learn a completely different way of life.

The Music Of Dolphins

A girl raised by dolphins must choose between two worlds in this critically acclaimed novel about what it means to be a human being.

The Wednesday Wars By: Gary Schmidt

This was an interesting book. It took me awhile to get into it but it had a ton of great messages.

The Wednesday Wars

In this Newbery Honor-winning novel, Gary D. Schmidt offers an unforgettable antihero. THE WEDNESDAY WARS is a wonderfully witty and compelling story about a teenage boy’s mishaps and adventures over the course of the 1967–68 school year.

Meet Holling Hoodhood, a seventh-grader at Camillo Junior High, who must spend Wednesday afternoons with his teacher, Mrs. Baker, while the rest of the class has religious instruction. Mrs. Baker doesn’t like Holling—he’s sure of it. Why else would she make him read the plays of William Shakespeare outside class? But everyone has bigger things to worry about, like Vietnam. His father wants Holling and his sister to be on their best behavior: the success of his business depends on it. But how can Holling stay out of trouble when he has so much to contend with? A bully demanding cream puffs; angry rats; and a baseball hero signing autographs the very same night Holling has to appear in a play in yellow tights! As fate sneaks up on him again and again, Holling finds Motivation—the Big M—in the most unexpected places and musters up the courage to embrace his destiny, in spite of himself.
